Her interpretation of the difficult Martinu Sonata was a triumph of concentration, in terms of the ebb and flow of the music, the building of climaxes, the multi layering of textures and an instinctive feeling for fantasy. Under her skilled fingers this three movement work seemed orchestral in concept, very much along the same lines as the Fantaisies symphoniques, the Frescoes and the Parables. ... By the end of this intelligently planned recital we had experienced five strong compositions played thrillingly from memory.
